Who we are

A software company that would rather be useful than impressive

theaifoundry is based in Fort Worth, Texas, and works with clients across the United States and internationally. We build AI systems, ERP platforms and custom software for organisations that need technology to pay for itself.

Why we exist

Enterprise-grade technology has historically been priced and packaged for enterprises. Smaller organisations were left choosing between software that almost fits and consultants who bill like it's 2004. That gap is what we set out to close.

Our team spans engineering, design and applied AI. What we have in common is a preference for understanding the business before touching the architecture — because most failed software projects were perfectly well built, just aimed at the wrong problem.

How we're different in practice

Plenty of agencies claim to be partners rather than vendors. The difference shows up in small, checkable things: whether you can see working software every week, whether the estimate held, whether anyone told you the uncomfortable thing before it became expensive. Those are the things we'd rather be judged on.

We're also deliberately narrow about AI. It is in our name, and we still say no to it regularly, because a model is the wrong tool for most problems that get described to us as AI problems. When it is the right tool, we build it properly — with evaluation, monitoring and a human in the loop where the stakes require one.

How we work

Four commitments we make on every engagement

These are the terms, not aspirations. If we can't hold to one of them on a particular project, we tell you before you sign.

You own everything

Intellectual property, source code and infrastructure transfer to you. No proprietary runtime you have to keep paying us for, and no hostage situation if you decide to move on.

Transparent pricing

Scope and cost agreed before work starts. When something genuinely changes, we raise it as a change with a number attached rather than quietly absorbing it into the timeline.

Weekly visible progress

Agile delivery with working demos, not status reports. You see the actual thing every week, which is the only reliable way to catch a misunderstanding early.

We stay after launch

Post-launch support and maintenance are part of how we work. Go-live is when real usage starts finding the things testing missed.

What we believe

The principles behind the decisions

The honest recommendation, even when it costs us

If an off-the-shelf product solves your problem, or the project should be half the size you're imagining, we say so. A smaller engagement done right is worth more to us than a large one that disappoints.

Boring technology, deliberately

We reach for proven tools over exciting ones. Your software has to be maintainable by whoever comes next, and novelty has a maintenance cost that lands long after the launch party.

Software is a means, not the point

Nobody wants an application. They want lower costs, faster throughput, fewer errors, better decisions. We keep asking what the software is supposed to change, and measure against that.

Build for handover from day one

Documented, conventional, readable code. We assume someone else will maintain it — often your own team — and that assumption makes the work better.

The fastest way to find out is a conversation about what you're actually trying to achieve. No pitch deck required.
